Items of Interest and Upcoming Events for the Week of May 15, 2012:
Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) – Alliance World Fellowship Convocation takes place this week (May 15-19) at Bayview Glen Church. Over 200 International Church Presidents and Pastors will be assisting at this historical event. Pray God’s presence will fill the hearts of all in attendance and that overseas pastors will be encouraged as they serve in some very difficult countries. 1) Right click on Covenant Eyes on your system tray
2) Choose software update
3) The system will walk you through the next steps

Short Term Missions Preparation, Orientation and Debriefing – Are you planning a short term mission trip this summer? Wondering what to do for orientation? Beginning to think about how to debrief your team after the trip? The Jaffray Centre for Global Initiatives can help! On June 16, 2012 the Jaffray Centre will be offering a one-day seminar for short term teams, covering topics from cross cultural communication, to culture shock, to fundraising, to the importance of debriefing your team. CEMA Golf Tournament – CEMA’s annual Golf Tournament is on June 4, 2012 at the Carstairs Golf Club. Carstairs Golf Club is a beautiful golf facility located in Carstairs, Alberta which is only 25 minutes North of Calgary and just 15 minutes North of Airdrie. There is no cost to CEMA members, non-CEMA registration is $100. To register, email Jack Ashby at jack@cemainfo.com.
Communications Masterclass – The Communication Masterclass (June 16 at Gateway Alliance), with Paul Scanlon, is a day of training in effective and relevant Communication skills. It’s for people from all walks of life. Anyone who feels that effective communication is essential to their vocation, calling or sphere of interest should book their place. Pastoral Approaches to Understanding & Ministering to Unwanted Same-Sex Attraction – Living Waters Canada will be hosting a one day seminar at Foothills Alliance Church on Thursday, May 24th from 9am to 3pm. Click here for more information. A second event has been added that evening 7-9pm which is open for anyone to attend called “Transforming Love: a night of testimony”.
